Could you pass me the salt, please?

Inspired by the idea of “passing” the salt we decided to design the handover easier and seamless. The shape allows SALIS to be rolled, thrown or simply handed over to another person. When it is not in use the dispenser can be placed on its opening for a stable stand. With just the flick of a thumb the simple and high quality object turns into a use able salt dispenser.

As part of a cooperation project with Carl Mertens, a Solingen based high quality tableware manufacturer, it was presented to audiences in Solingen, Frankfurt and Kiel. We were able to visit the workshop as well as the local museum where our projects were on display.
